Snow Village opens for viewing at Chatham Emergency Squad headquarters

For the 18th year, the Chatham Emergency Squad welcomes residents young and old to experience its “Snow Village” exhibit at 31 North Passaic Ave.

The impressive display features more than 100 Department 56 model houses, cars and figurines with a working ski lift, ice skating rink and more, set amidst the backdrop of a snow-filled winter wonderland and a model train running through the center of town.

“We’re delighted to present the ‘Snow Village’ again this year,” the squad’s president Steven Davenport said. “When Covid forced the cancellation of the 2020 display, we realized just how important this event was to Chatham families. Our 2021 attendance numbers reflected their excitement.”

The exhibit will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. every Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. each Sunday in December except Christmas Day. In addition, open houses will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 7, 15, 23 and 27. The full schedule is available on the Chatham Emergency Squad website at www.chathamemergencysquad.org.
